We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We protect your privacy and your private data. We collect, process and use personal data in accordance with the content of this privacy policy and the applicable data protection laws. 

AlterCOP is a common project of its two parent companies; The Matcha Initiative (hereafter referred to as "TMI") and The Transmutation Principle (hereafter referred to as "TTP").

All entities are compliant with the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) that was set up in 2013 for Singapore-based organisations.

1. Purpose of Data Collection

The information you provide in the Registration Form & the Ticketing Form is collected to enable AlterCOP, its partners, and its parent companies, TMI and TTP, to:

• Register and contact you about your attendance at the event;

• Carry out administrative and planning activities for the event;

• Plan and develop future activities and opportunities;

• Facilitate your requirements in relation to the event;

• Compile and analyse statistics relevant to the event;

• Share relevant attendee data with partners such as, but not limited to its partners for collaboration purposes and event-related activities.

(Collectively referred to as "Purposes")

2. Disclosure of Personal Data
Your personal data may be disclosed by AlterCOP, its partners, and its parent companies, TMI and TTP, as well as third-party service providers, agents, or collaborators (including their lawyers/law firms), some of whom may be located outside Singapore, for one or more of the above Purposes. These third-party service providers, agents, or collaborators will process your personal data on behalf of AlterCOP for the Purposes mentioned.

3. Consent to Collection and Use of Data
By submitting your Registration Form, you:

• Consent to AlterCOP collecting, using, disclosing, and/or processing your personal data for the Purposes as described above;

• Consent to AlterCOP collecting personal data about you from other sources besides yourself and using, disclosing, and/or processing the same for one or more of the Purposes mentioned above;

• Consent to AlterCOP sharing your personal data with its third-party service providers, agents, or collaborators (including but not limited to its partners and their lawyers/law firms), for the Purposes described above;

• Acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the provisions stated in this notice.

4. Mailing List Inclusion
AlterCOP seeks to include your name, affiliation, and full contact details into the mailing lists of AlterCOP, its partners, and its parent companies, TMI and TTP to disseminate information about future activities and opportunities. Should you wish to withdraw your consent to be contacted for this purpose, please indicate your intent to withhold consent by marking the appropriate box in the Registration Form, or the Ticketing Form. You can also send an email to hello@altercop.com. Please allow 5 business days for the withdrawal of your consent to take effect.

5. Use of Photography, Voice, and Likeness
By attending the event, you consent to the use of your photograph, voice, likeness, and image in any broadcasts or subsequent productions made from video or audio recordings of the event. These recordings may be published or broadcasted in official AlterCOP, its partners, and its parent companies, TMI and TTP, including their publications, publicity materials, websites, and social media channels. All recordings, photographs, films, audio, and video, as well as reproductions in any form, are the property of AlterCOP.

You release AlterCOP, its partners, and its parent companies, TMI and TTP as well as their affiliates, employees, representatives, and agents from any and all claims, demands, costs, or liabilities arising from the use of these interviews, recordings, photographs, videotapes, or films.

6. Opting Out of Photography or Recordings
If you do not wish to have your photographs or audio-visual recordings taken at the event, it is your responsibility to remove yourself from group or candid shots/recordings intended by photographers/videographers at the event.

Nevertheless, in case of photos being taken without your consent, please reach out to hello@altercop.com.
